ePals Foundation '10-'11 Campaign Drive

Join the ePals Foundation and dozens of Fortune 1000 companies to bring In2Books under-resourced schools across the United States.

Increasingly, corporations and other national institutions understand the link between workforce literacy, 21st century skills and the bottom line. They also understand the importance of building those skills in the broader communities, cities and states they serve to promote more robust community relations and a more vibrant economy.

Dozens of companies including National Geographic, Intel, and Accenture and thousands of their employees have affiliated with the ePals Foundation to bring In2Books to under-resourced schools. The ePals Foundation is committed to distributing ePals’ flagship literacy program, In2Books, to under-resourced communities to promote reading, writing, and critical-thinking skills in a 21st century learning environment. The In2Books program has been successfully implemented in these schools for 10+ years.

We’re looking for like-minded sponsors for our nation’s students to help fund the cost of the program and books to expand that distribution and reach our goal. For $59 per student, the Foundation can provide the full program which includes our software enabling teachers to run and manage the program, extensive materials for teachers and students, and carefully-screened adult pen pals. It also includes five books per student, which they get to choose and keep.

Join today to support the ePals Foundation in its goal to provide In2Books to 1000 classrooms for academic year 2010-2011!

More About ePals Foundation Sponorship

Why Sponsor In2Books

In2Books sponsorship is an excellent vehicle for sponsor companies looking to address educational inequity as well as engage the hearts and minds of their employees. As a virtual volunteer opportunity it is also easy and efficient for your company to get involved.

In2Books® is a research-based program that builds a vibrant learning community among 3rd – 5th grade students, their teachers and adult pen pal volunteers. Students develop reading, writing and critical thinking skills as they engage in authentic dialogues with their pen pals about important topics raised in high quality books. This cost-effective program has also been shown to work. Research reported in Phi Delta Kappan (March 2007) found that students in In2Books classrooms scored significantly higher on standardized reading tests. And according to Reading Teacher (May 2007) 9 out of 10 teachers report that In2Books positively impacted their students' achievements.

We invite you to explore this site to learn more about In2Books and hear what teachers are saying about this program.

How Can My Company Get Involved?

The ePals Foundation provides several levels of sponsorship all of which include engaging pen pals from your workforce to work with students in the program. Where possible, we can match your sponsor dollars and employee team to schools in local communities where your operations reside.
